| Elena Markina, from
Thornhill,
Ontario, earned
an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Relations
from the University of Toronto. Her Russian language abilities helped
in the early stages of development of Almaz: Canada Russia Business and
Trade Centre Incorporated, where her research and analysis of both
markets helped bring an understanding to both sides of the legal and
cultural differences involved. Elena will go to Moscow, Russia, to
undertake a six-month work experience with the Moscow operations of
Ronald A. Chisholm International. The Toronto firm is the leading
Canadian meat importer into Russia today and one of the leaders in
North America. Elena's duties will include drafting correspondence,
internal financial auditing, initiating a new client outreach program,
and miscellaneous administrative support. She is scheduled to leave on
August 01. |
